Asking for your support (is hard to do).

I’ve been able to sustain my unusual life path until now with freelance design jobs and the gracious support of friends with open couches, beds, and pets.

For the next few months I’m hoping to focus on
  • contemplative care course work

While I’m learning and building, a little financial support toward my course tuition would go a long way.

Thank you. Thank you.

Let’s talk

The path.

I believe community and compassion are foundational to human thriving.
They’re our most powerful protection against the forces of greed, fear and division. But they require constant cultivation especially in a world where a device that never leaves our side can be used so effectively to distract and divide.

Living a minimalist, nomadic lifestyle has opened the freedom to focus much of my effort to cultivation of care.
For the past few years I’ve been working with friends and neighbors in the Upper West Side to build an organization that sustains community connection and supports local art and culture.

To deepen my insight into compassion and its skillful use, I’ve enrolled in a nine-month course at NY Zen Center.
The Foundations in Contemplative Care program involves teachings and practice to cultivate radical compassion, practical volunteer work in hospital and hospice, and a ton of guided self-inquiry and spiritual contemplation.

All I know for sure is that the world is responding with grace, curiosity and love. The rest is an unfolding mystery.
I have ideas about how, in the future, this work could become financially sustainable without compromising core values, but for now I’m doing it for the love and staying open to the call.
